Nov 24 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Happy Spring! Welcome to the 38th season of the Downtown Palo Alto Farmers’ Market.  We look forward to seeing you, our farmers and food artisans all together again for another season of abundance – local, fresh, beautiful, and tasty.

Every year, the start of the Season reminds me how much we have to be thankful for —  in addition to all the delicious foods.  We look forward to seeing familiar faces, renewing old friendships, and forming new ones. We look forward to another season of fun, including our weekly music and our annual Customer Appreciation Day raffle. We look forward to another season of sharing with our community — whether it’s donating our proceeds to the Avenidas senior center, providing a community service destination for high school student volunteers, or our farmers’ generous sharing of leftover produce with people less fortunate than ourselves. The Market is about Food and Community together; it always has been and always will be!

We are located in the parking lots on Gilman St and Hamilton Ave from 8 AM – Noon, rain or shine.

We are a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, proudly serving our community since 1981. Our goal then, and still today, is to connect local farmers with our community by providing direct access to fresh and locally produced foods. All proceeds from the operation of the Market are donated to Avenidas, a community group for older adults. To date, our community donations total over $500,000.

Best,

Eva Heninwolf

TastingsTASTINGS

Simply Unforgettable
Ask any one of the thousands of people who have tasted chocolate with Sunita over the past 10 years and they will tell you a story. Some will talk about fermentation, others about midges and pollination, still others about farmers and makers, most will talk about experiencing amamazing, complex flavors unlike anything they had come to expect from chocolate. But everyone will tell you about Sunita’s passion, knowledge, dedication, and humor that made for a memorable experience whether it was with an intimate group of friends at The Chocolate Garage or as the main event at a 200 person holiday party.

Nobody understands better than Sunita what it takes to create a great experience around chocolate that brings people together around something they love. Just ask some of the organizations where Sunita has created custom tasting events:

23 and Me Andresseen Horowitz EBay Facebook Google JLohr Kaiser Permanente LinkedIn Lowenstein Sandler Paypal VMWare Apple Audience Box Dropbox Foley & Lardner Harvard Alumni Association HP Intuit Morgan Lewis Palantir Stanford Wilson Sonsini Women In Bio

Each event includes a blind tasting of different chocolates and challenges your senses to discover which flavors you like the best. We often pair chocolate with drinks such as dessert wine, beer, tequila, or whiskey.

We will guide you through the tasting, answering questions you didn’t even know you had, about process, terroir, varietal and maker style. You thought wine was complex? Wait until you taste some of the Happy Chocolates curated by The Chocolate Garage™!

You will be tasting from among our collection of over 175 of the most delicious and happiest bars available! Arete, Bar au Chocolat, Bonnat, Charm School Chocolate, Dandelion, Domori, Francois Pralus, Fruition, Grenada Chocolate Company, Lonohana Estate Chocolate, Madre, Marou Chocolate, Momotombo, Patric, Ritual Chocolate, Rogue, Sirene, Soma are a few of the outstanding craft makers we feature from the Americas, Europe, and beyond.

Team buildings, holiday parties and corporate events; we specialize in creating fun ways to engage colleagues as you learn about chocolate together. Start with the theory of flavor and taste then practice, practice, practice tasting until everyone discovers a favorite. Read below from groups and teams that have connected over chocolate tastings with The Chocolate Garage.

Tastings are $50 per person. Please book on the website!
